Delray Beach Green Market- Saturday February 11, 2012

There’s still time to catch the Delray Beach Green Market in Downtown Delray Beach just off Atlantic Avenue. What better way to support our local growers and vendors (Think Buy Local) than to do some of your weekly marketing at Delray Beach’s Green Market.
In 1996 the Delray Community Redevelopment Agency started the In-Season weekly Green Market to encourage the community to Buy Local. Besides your typical fresh produce, you can purchase “AWA approved heritage breed, hen, duck and Japanese quail eggs from Heritage Hen Farms, raw milk, fresh butter and yogurt.”
And....... fresh honey
fresh cut flowers
handmade soaps
fresh Italian cheeses
Florida grass fed beef (hormone and antibiotic free)
baked goods
And more! Music
Visiting Farm animals
Organic pet treats

Wow! This looks delightful! I wish I could come.
I love the Delray Beach Green Market Kathy! Thats my former address 10 years ago!
Looks like a FAB farmers market BARFF....................I love mine in my neighborhood!
Delray Beach Green Market sounds like a hit! Buying local is a win - win for everyone! Have a great day Kathy.
I love markets, the freshness of the products, the colorful assortment of products and persons.
You are very lucky to live in a place where fresh local produce is available all year round Kathy. I could really use some fresh veggies right about now, winter is starting to take its toll.
Kathy, I can't wait for the local Farmers Markets to start up again. Unfortunately we still have three months of winter ahead....yes, April is not great either.
Hi Kathy, my father and his girlfriend make it a regular Saturday morning ritual along with their bagels and coffee!
Kathy, I love buying local at our local farmer's market. I'm sure you shop there every Saturday.
Kim- come on over! It's the season and the weather is great.
Steve-you're not that far away... come on down! You should see Atlantic avenue.
BARFF- I think it's so much fun just to get out and see everyone.
John (the Q)- I love buying local when we can!
Ellen- It's nice knowing that you're trying to help the community and keeping it green by buying local.
Malcolm- I guess we take it for granted that we can get fresh produce all year here. Hope you get some soon.
Ron- that's too long. But I bet when they start up where you are everyone will come out.
Joanna- it's nice to be able to stroll there. I love the one in Winter Part too.
Rebecca- I try to go even if I don't really need anything.
Hi Kathy, Nothing beats a local farmer's green market. Delray Beach Market has a lot to offer with all those fresh produce items.
Kathy
The Delray Beach Florida Green Market is a great place to shop for farm fresh produce.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Jerry- it's fun isn't it, just seeing what actually produced in your area.
Lou-Thank you and hope to see you there some day.
Kathy, this looks like a wonderful market, with specialty items, in addition to fresh local produce.
