Holy ESPN... I'm In Full Football Withdrawal!

Holy ESPN... I’m in full football withdrawal!

I know many of you can’t relate to this but I am now in full football withdrawal.  I touchdownhave gone through the Lock out last year... fewer exhibition games....  a year of football without my favorite player Peyton Manning..... Tebow Talk (go Tebow).... helmet hits, where Peyton will end up and finally the Super Bowl.

Many of you may say... well now you can get out and do other things.. take a walk, read a book, blog.. get a life.  But you see I do all of that AND watch football.  It’s not all that time consuming.. just from August until late January or early February.  But having been born in Texas, football is a way of life for me.

My cousins and I tossed around footballs every weekend.  Thanksgiving meant televisions set up to watch multiple games.  I even remember going to 2 football games in one day.

I love listening to Mike & Mike on ESPN every morning and my guys Howie, Terry, Jimmy and the crew at FOX on Sundays before the game.

So fellow Rainers... bear with me.  This happens every year.  I’ll get through it.

And.... I hear we’ll have more Thursday night football games next season!!!!

YEA!!!

WAY TO GO GIANTS!!!

Sorry Kathy, it must be a terrible low after yesterday's Super Bowl! Hope you'll have a great week!

Football is pretty addicting.  I am ready to move on though.  It was a fun season with a good ending.

Kathy, Football season is a way of life for our household too. Love the anticipation of the WIN and cheering our favorite team on...the Broncos. Last night's game was FUN to watch and now look forward to what next season brings!

Good morning, Kathy.... it's very painful.... I did win three times on one pool and that pulled me through the disappointment of that loss....  Rocky may stop eating....the football draft is April 26th and they'll start training again in late July.....

WHY? * Just one day closer to the Daytona 500, Baby!  I go through NASCAR withdrawals in December and when I get my next year's Daytona 500 ballcap * I come ALIVE!

My smart phone app tells me its only 20 days!!!

So I take it the Giants won the Super Bowl, huh?  I had no clue.  I used to LOVE football until I worked in sports radio.  I got over it pretty quickly.  Living in Redskins territory doesn't help.

Prior to this season, I've never cared much about football.  Something changed this year.  I think it was all the time I've spent being sick and recovering.  Lots of Sundays with not much to do but watch TV.  I'm just hoping I can survive until baseball starts.  That's my favorite!

Kathy- that long???

Silvia- I actually taped the game so if it gets bad all I have to do is watch it.

Chuck- Well the break gives me time to catch up on other things, but I'll be ready for it when the pre-season games start.

Lydie- I love Al Michaels and actually love listening to Sports Talk.

Wanda- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Broncos.

John- I was nervous the whole game.. yes it's just a game but still I had to bite my nails and hope for the best.

Barbara T- Glad you won the pools.  Tell Rocky not to despair.

Wallace- I've only been to one race down in Miami but it was fun!

Chris Ann- oh how funny!  Seriously, you didn't know?

Donna- we like to go to the exhibition games they have here in Florida.

Hi Kathy, you are not alone , Iwill miss football as well. I took pictures off my big screen

television as a reminder of a great Superbowl. See the photos on my blog.

I thought the half  time show was fantastic with Madonna, I also have pictures of that posted as well.
